Review: Christmas Wishes by Barbara Metzger (2 stars)

Full Description: Amazon

Rating: 2 out of 5

Thoughts After Reading: Dang it, why are Metzger's works so hit-and-miss? Maybe I need to pay more attention to which years the books were published. Anyway: The book falls flat after the first third of the book, and most of the relationship development occurs on the day the hero and heroine met. In other words:
1st third of story: story sets up and characters meet for a day.
2nd third of story: heroine travels around by herself, hero sends everyone out looking for her.
Last third of story: heroine wonders if the hero loves her, hero wonders if the heroine is crazy for thinking Uncle George is alive.

Not much of a romance, is it? There's not much comedy either; although there was one or two moments I enjoyed. Now keep in mind, the reviews on Amazon are very positive. So either I missed something, or they are just diehard Metzger fans. YMMV.
